Ember Kelly 

Ember is an artist printmaker, based at the Black Pig studio, Frome. She works in monochrome (linocut and wood engraving) and in colour (mixed media screen and monoprints).

Ember's work explores hybrid spaces where the tenacity of nature disrupts the permanence and impositions of human constructions. Her subject matter is an exploration of environment in motion. Interrogating where the structure and fabric of construction is decaying as nature flows over into culture, and the relationship between what we make and what the earth reclaims is revealed.

Ember is Deaf, she utilises an awareness of space to make sense of the world. She is drawn to the disruptions and entanglements of the environment.
