It is probably one of those difficult relationships, but ivy wrapping round a tree feels like a friendship.

There are so many beautiful plants and flowers and it is hard to pick a favourite, but I am very fond of a straggly old thistle. Not the magnificent Scottish kind, more the stunted in a field, barely making a flower kind.
